Abstract

A 38-year old male patient, who had suffered from the epigastric pain for 3 years and frequent loose stool for 5~6 months, was believed to have a duodenocolic fistula and a chronic duodenal ulcer and probably a biliaryenteric fistula after a study with the endoscopy, UGI Series and Barium enema.
But at the operation table, he was found to have a rare disease complicated by a chronic post-bulbar duodenal ulcer--duodenocholecystocolic fistula, which is probably the first case in the world literature.
Hemigastrectomy with Biliroth ¥± gastrojejunostomy, cholecystectomy, and primary closure of the fistular openings of the duodenum and colon were proved to be an effective treatment.
